Class Description
UrbanFit @ Lunch is all about making the most of your lunch break. It offers a focused, effective workout that fits into a busy workday while getting you out of the office and into fresh air.
Training takes place outdoors in Baselâs city center, often along the Rhine. Sessions combine functional strength exercises, conditioning drills, and short runs to create a balanced, full-body workout. The emphasis is on movement quality, efficiency, and energy, not on competition or performance pressure.
The class is designed to be inclusive and adaptable. Every exercise can be scaled up or down, allowing everyone to train together regardless of experience or fitness level. Whether you want to move, sweat, clear your head, or simply break up your workday, UrbanFit delivers.

What You Need to Know

UrbanFit @ Lunch is a dynamic outdoor workout designed to fit perfectly into your lunch break. Each session focuses on functional full-body training using bodyweight exercises, light running, and urban elements such as benches, stairs, and open spaces along the Rhine. Sessions begin with a short warm-up or a light run followed by strength and conditioning circuits that build endurance, power, and coordination. The standard class lasts 45 minutes, with an optional 15-minute extension for mobility, core work, or extra conditioning, depending on the group and the day. Exercises are always adaptable, making the class suitable whether you are new to training or already active.

Wear comfortable sportswear suitable for outdoor training and running shoes. You do not need to necessarily bring a water bottle as we'll have always have a breack near a water fountain. Depending on the season, weather-appropriate layers. No aditional equipment is required.

UrbanFit @ Lunch takes place once a week on Tuesday at lunchtime in the city center, around Mittlere BrĂŒcke, Claramatte, Kaserne, and along the Rhine. Exact meeting point and weekly schedule are shared in advance. Please arrive a few minutes early to warm up properly and get the most out of your session.
